fine Baule wooden carving of a female figure seated on a small backed chair on platform with elongated torso and sloping shoulders, conical shaped breasts and a protruding navel; the cylindrical neck supporting a diminutive head featuring incised decoration to the forehead, elongated nose and almond shaped eyes; surmounted by a elaborate coiffure; very good aged brown patina. Grey private collection, assembled during the 1960's. #15 on base
