J. E. STIMSON PHOTO DEVIL's TOWER WYOMING PHOTOGRAPH nr J. E. Stimson photograph of Mateo Tepec or Devil's Tower - Crook Co., Wyoming. Circa 1910-30. This is framed in a black wood frame and t is dirt under the glass. I didn't take this apart, because it appears that this photo has been in the frame for decades. The photographer's stamp is in lower left corner. J. E. Stimson (American, 1870-1952) was the official photographer for the Union Pacific Railroad and also for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition. The State of Wyoming purchased his collection in 1953. This photo measures 9 1/2" x 7 5/8". The image is black and white and is crisp and clear. T is dirt under the glass, but it doesn't appear to be on the photo. The photo is on a mat, but t is a little slippage, so I don't believe it is tightly glued down. The frame measurements are 12 5/8" x 11". Any weird looking marks are simply reflections on the glass that I couldn't avoid when taking the photos.
