Cook-Rite Economy Health Cookin-Ware Stoneware bowl and Pie Plate that can also be used as a lid. If you've never used any of these old Cook-Rite stoneware bowls or pie plates you have missed out. They make the best casseroles, baked beans and pies. They brown a pie crust perfectly and the pie does not stick like in the new pie plates. Plus they are deep for that deeper pie (more filling). The bowl is 10" diameter by 5" deep and the pie/lid plate is 10" diameter by 2 1/4" deep. I have two of these that I use in my kitchen all the time. They are made of yellow clay and glazed dark chocolate brown on the inside of the bowl and pie plate. The decoration on this one is leaves and fruit. There are the usual pinpops, and imperfect glaze that is on stoneware of this age. There are several very small chips on the lower rim band of this bowl but not detracting from making it useable & display worthy. As with most old stoneware it has been lovingly used throughout the years. Please inquire for shipping quote my zip to yours. Let me know if you want insurance for $2.70 more.
