we offer for your bidding pleasure a little 1 gallon stoneware crock made by B. C. Milburn of Alexandria VA circa 1850. This crock has a few condition issues but it is still a very fine crock featuring a well developed flower that covers the front. It is a nice example of Alexandria pottery of the period and looks just great sitting on the shelf. Alexandria stoneware has been bring outrageous prices at recent public auctions. This crock has several chips around the rim and base. T are several hairline cracks on the lower half of the front which are only seen upon close inspection. A larger crack extends down from the rim for about 6" on the left side and several smaller cracks are also present. We have posted a number of photos which should show the flaws. This crock may be inspected in person and may also be picked up at the conclusion of the listing in Purcellville, VA. We will attempt to answer any questions. (I WILL BE UNAVAILABLE ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY THE 16TH AND 17TH). Careful double box shipping and insurance will be $16. VA residents without a tax resale number must add 5% to the final sales price.
