Will add photos tomorrow...check-in as it may not be until late tomorrow evening. Today for sale is a two gallon stoneware storage jug / crock marked, "JULIUS NORTON BENNINGTON VT." with a "2". It is 14.5"inches tall with an outstanding clearly defined cobalt blue folk art decoration of a RABBIT . T are some faint remains of paint from a vender's mark that was painted on years ago and has worn a bit. It looks like an H and I enclosed with a diamond probably used for liquor or whiskey. The vender's mark is on the left side of the jug. The nicely ribbed handle is in good condition. This is a rare and highly desirable decorated jug along with makers mark makes this jug a great find. This fantastic jug is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs only some slight staining (see photos). This is a great find for any stoneware, primitive or folk art collector. Rabbits don't come around too often anymore, so don't miss out on this one! This is a great piece for the folk art, primitive and stoneware collectors!!!..... good luck with your bidding and thanks for looking!
