BINFORD, GROCERIES, GLASS, TIN & QUEENSWARE. PARIS , TEX. Â" And much moreÂ...Â.... This sale is for a large 3 gallon salt glazed stoneware advertising jug with a fabulous bright cobalt blue decoration, which looks like a Norton Company of Worcester , Mass. decoration. It stands a whopping 17Â" inches tall The advertising reads in blue, Â"O.JOHNSON & Co 13 EXCHANGE ST PROVIDENCE RI .Â" Mr. Oliver Johnson was the oldest wholesale druggist in the state by 1890. T are two very thin glaze flakes, one on the top of the lip and the other is just to the side of the lip and are both minor in nature. T is an in the making crack at the base of the handle; you can see the glaze crawl into the crack and the crack is only on the front left half of the handle. This in the making crack has no instability what so ever and does not compromise the strength of the handle (see photos)!!!....This jug looks super and has a outstanding floral with a stylized dotted tornado!
