This auction is for a stoneware advertising mini jug from Moody's Market, in Springfield, Illinois, dating back to the mid/late 1800s. It is in very nice condition, with some wear/tiny chips around both the mouth and base of the item. (see photos) Aside from that it is in excellent condition with no other chips cracks or hairlines that weren't present before the item was decorated. It is approximately 4 inches tall. It is decorated with the words "Compliments of Moody's Fourth Avenue Market, Springfield, Ills." It's a beautiful and rare piece of Springfield history. What a great addition to your collection...
