If you were a baby boomer growing up anytime during the early 50s or after, you remember those cheesy educational films from you science class teaching you all about hygiene or the wonders of puberty making you into an adult. You were ever so gently guided into the taboo knowledge of the difference between the sexes by a bad movie with over dramatic narration and all American pie type family characters dealing with the most taboo thing in life: human sexuality. If you're a boy you still remember the biting curiosity of wondering why the girls had a separate 'private' hygiene class and what it was they were learning... and if you're a girl you remember that same hygiene film trying to make you believe that 'becoming a woman' was a monthly treat rather than a curse. You'll also recall the hilarious contradiction of the sex education films which informed you of the normality of masturbation, all whilst your mom resounded with old wives tales of "Stop it or you'll go blind..." or "If you do that, you'll get hairy palms!" Well now these films don't have to all be a nostalgic but oh so funny memory! That's right, now you can own many of these retro original 'educational films' from the 50s through the 70s, some of which are still used in high school science classes today! (I kid you not!) "Stop It Or You'll Go Blind" includes OVER 2 hours of various educational films covering the topics of sex, hygiene, puberty, homosexuality, sex propaganda, the reproductive system, and more! You get 7 separate educational / propaganda short films along with a hand full of vintage trailers having to do with sex! 's what's included: Perversion for Profit 1 & 2 : Produced 1964 - 1965 in full color, "Perversion For Profit" is a two part (pieced together anti-pornography film produced by financier Charles Keating, linking pornography to the Communist conspiracy and the decline of Western civilization. More of a propaganda film than anything you'll ever view, this bizzare short film was presented by the 'Citizens for Decent Literature' Corporation and is narrated by outstanding news reporter (Or so they say..) George Putnam. The narrator begins seemingly mild by warning parents, teachers, and adults of the 'flood tide of filth in the form of news stand pornography' but soon goes way off the deep end by claiming that printed porn leads not only to communism but was responsible for the decline and fall of ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Greece, and Rome due to 'moral decay'. Beware because 'once perverted' by this filth, you will soon become a irrevocable sex fiend! The laughable propaganda film continues to dig itself a deeper whole by preaching that printed porn leads to becoming a sexual deviant who is lead into (as the conservative but hilariously over dramatic host puts it..) the 'sexually deviant worlds of homosexuals, lesbians, sadists, and more!' Despite the intended focus of this propaganda film to keep people from buying this porn, the film actually serves as an index sampler of the material that's out t The host shows example of girly magazines and sex literature including S&M and gay manuals. Some of the vintage porn periodicals shown (discreetly edited with black bars across the subject's EYES to hide their identity.. as if that's what needed to be censored...) include Follies, Gent, Gem, Sextet, Swank, Bachelor, Gala, Chic, Rapture, Plush, Monsieur, Frolic, Goodnight and many more.
