Storiviews 3D Viewer and Slides in Original Box, Excellent Condition Early 1950's bakelite Storiviews viewer in original box with set of six color 3D slides in their original box. The viewer and outer box are in excellent condition. The cardboard insert has minor tears w it holds the viewer, but is otherwise in good shape. The insert has room for four boxes of slides, but this sale includes only one. Two out of the six slides have minor warping, which is typical, but all are otherwise in excellent condition. The smaller box containing the slides is in very good condition with minor wear on the end flaps. The slides are scenes from the Thousand Islands region of New York. They include: 1. Calumet Castle2. Devil's Oven 3. American Span 4. The Lost Channel 5. The International Span 6. Boldt Castle The number and name of the set is printed on one edge of the box containing the slides: "4009 Thousand Islands, N.Y." Interestingly, the Storiviews box includes a drawing of a Holmes-style stereoscope, with the caption "The Modern Version of Grandma's Stereoscope." Hopefully she kept hers in mint condition and her great-grandchildren are now selling it on eBay. ---------------------- PayPal preferred; personal check, cashier's check or money order accepted.
