This straight razor seems to be about 40 or 50 years old, but we're not sure if it is a Japanese brand or an import. The handle is made from what looks something like bakelite or celluloid, although we're not really sure what it is. The markings on one side of the tang say "Cape . . . Swedish Steel" and "1372", while on the other side it says "For Barbers' Use . . . First Quality".This razor is in good condition, although t are a few very small, very light spots of oxidation on the blade, which it seems could be cleaned up with little more than a firm wiping. The cutting edge is quite sharp. The handle is in good condition, with no cracks or chips, but it does show signs of age and use. When folded, this razor measures L6 7/16" (165mm) overall, with an about L3 1/16" (78mm) cutting edge. This item is set to ship via Air Mail, and should arrive within 7-14 days after being posted.
