STRANGE TALES LOT Up for bids, we have a nicelittle lot of Strange Tales comics from the early 60s. I’ll send them via priority mail, bagged and boarded and securely shipped using cardboard, bubble wrap etc. Here they are ~ #79 – what a great cover. This one grades an apparent VG with some chipping along the right edge and some creasing. There’s also 4 clean scissor cuts on the first page as well as a sizeable chunk – the bottom 1/5 th - of the back cover cleanly ripped away. So, I’d grade it a somewhat collectable FR. Color cover and gloss are nice as is the spine showing light wear. #114, a key Captain America appearance, grades a VG/FN. It’s a nice, tight copy, clean spine and would grade into the strong Fine range if not for some Marvel chipping along the right edge. #130 grades a strong Fine (maybe even a FN+) – just a solid book with light spine wear. The colors are very dark on this one. I’m tempted to keep it! A flat, tight comic. #133 is the gem of the lot, a FN/VF showing trace amounts of edge and spine wear – just enough to keep it from a strong VF mention. Super tight. #134 features a cool Watcher cover and grades a FN- with just enough spine wear to keep it from a strong Fine. Still, a great looking comic with deep color and high gloss. No corner creases – flat, complete and tightly bound by both staples. Please check read more
