This is the first year of Strat Baskeball, based on the 1972-73 season. Game is 46 years old but still plays beautifully and has every card and every part here. A few of the orange splits have been taped. The game board, roster, and reference sheet/instructions are all in terrific shape (see picture.) The cover of the game box has been repaired but is now really just a flat cover and would need an elastic to hold it on. The older game box is in tough shape, too, though repaired, but I could include a newer game bottom from another Strat product. Mostly, THE CARDS are great: Very few, if any, were tainted by elastics. 10 players per team, every card here, no writing. And WHAT a season. Celtics go 68-14 behind MVP Dave Cowens 20.5, 16 RPG, and Havlicek 23.8. Real story is the Knicks, though, defeating Celtics in 7 game playoff then beating Wilt (13.2, but 18,6 rebounds and incredible 72.7% from the floor, West 22.8 and Goodrich in the famous "Willis Reed" game. Frazier, Monroe, Bradley, Debusschere: this is the year of Tiny Archibald, who leads the league in nearly every category, scoring, assists. Kareem is awesome for the Bucks, Pistol Pete lights up the scoreboard as a rookie, Rick Barry, the Big E, Spencer Haywood, Dave Bing in their primes. 1. Tiny Archibald *-KCO 34.0 2. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar *-MIL 30.2 3. Spencer Haywood -SEA read more
