OVERVIEW :Raspberry Tart was first released in 1979. There are two regular versions for her. The first edition she was released by herself with flat hands. The second edition she came out with curved hands and Kenner added a pet monkey named Rhubarb. She was also made into a rag doll and a Sweet Sleeper. In 1991 she was reissued with a few of the other dolls. She also has four regular miniatures and one deluxe miniature.Rhubarb monkey was also made into a plush pet and is very rare.INTERESTING FACTS:1. She is one of the few girl dolls not wearing a dress.2. Her shoes vary widely in color, from near white to a darker pink. The darker pink shoes are typically reserved for the Dancin' Strawberry Shortcake doll.INTRODUCTIONThis doll is a 30th anniversary release; not vintage. I was informed of this information from a helpful eBay seller. =) Apparently obvious by the berry on the bottom of her shoe. (Thanks again!) Raspberry Tart was originally released in the early 1980's in the Strawberry Shortcake series. The doll stands 6" in height and her name is Raspberry Tart. This is honestly the most beautiful Raspberry Tart doll I have ever seen, hands down. Her hair is so extremely thick and curly.
