Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. W to begin, this stunning ring is a once in a lifetime find and every aspect of it is stunning. It has 42 small sparkling old European cut channel set Diamonds. It has 9 large old European cut genuine Sapphires. The Genuine Sapphires feature round, oval and teardrop cuts!
It is hard to describe the detail of this beautiful ring, it is unlike workmanship today, t are designs within designs. The setting is about 1/8 of an inch thick and has an incredible metal scrolled design in the gold, it is very regal looking with such attention to detail. Even on the band, two fine grooves make a design around the ring, and three diamonds are channel set in round and diamond shaped settings just under to either side of the face of the ring. The large center sapphire is round and approximately 4.19 mm wide. The teardrop shaped sapphires are approximately 2.5 mm x 3.5, the two large oval shaped sapphires are approximately 3.18 mm wide x 3.5 mm long, the less larger oval shaped sapphires are approximately 1.93mm wide x 1.93 mm long. The 42 round diamonds are all approximately 1.32 mm wide. The setting is 9kt English yellow gold, (marked 375) it is set in three tiers, with the uppermost tier being the prong set center sapphire, the middle tier being the channel set stones and shield shaped setting, the final tier being the band and channel set design on either side of the band. Ring is size 7.5. and weighs 3.2 grams, the setting is approximately 1 inch long by 3/4 inch wide. T are no loose stones or missing stones, the band is not bent and is very well made. It is clear that this ring was sized up at one time in the past, so I'm assuming it could be sized down if needed. I am not an appraiser or jeweler, and because I am not, I encourage you to ask me questions before you bid, as my items are sold as is and your bid is a contract. I call this ring Victorian style because I am not an expert and although I believe in my heart of hearts that this is a very old ring, I have to be clear that I'm not an expert. I am assuming the value of this ring is thousands of dollars, it will be insured and carefully packed, I have 100% positive feedback and I'm easy to reach if needed for questions or more photos.
