This uke was very nearly completed when I bought it. The neck is from a factory made 8 string uke and has a lion and proud 'British Made' logo on the head. The neck looks straight to me. It could do with a sanding down as the varnish on the back of the neck has cracked. As you can see the machines are a mix but all appear to work. The bridge is a commercial unit- I have laid it flat so that you can clearly see it on the photo. Not sure what the box was but it has a sliding lid (which is the actual back of the uke) and is substantial and well built. Sound holes will need to be cut. The scale length is 13 inches. I think it sshould be straighforward to fix.
I can honestly see no problems with this uke as a small project but obviously cannot guarantee it. I bought it as a quick project but it has lain in my cupboard unmolested for a couple of years. Perhaps you are more motivated than me?
I have a load of cigar box guitar bots of pieces which I am selling off this week. I made the mistake of going to Boxstock 2013 and saw some really well made guitars. I have decided to sell all my stuff as I know I cannot build them like this. I hope to raise enough from the sale of bits to buy one of these. I am happy to combine postage.
Please check out my 100% feedback. I aim to keep this.
