See below for the specs. on this very nice older lida or iida japan made banjo. This is a very well made custom vintage five string banjo. Made in Japan, I am guessing in the 70's. From what I came up with from Paul Hawthorne's site this would be a 239 masterclone model. Very good condition for its age, some of the binding looks to have been reglued t is some wear on the armrest. The frets are in excellent shape. Neck is three piece, straight and intonates well. It is also equipped with spikes. This banjo comes in a beautiful red plush tweed case. Leather strap, picks, and a book by Pete Seeger-How to play the 5-string banjo is also included.
