Stromberg-Carlson Tube Radio, Model #500 J, circa 1939 . Just imagine all the Jack Benny and Fred Allen programs that must have been heard on this great old radio!Features: Original wood case Original dial/station indicator Original knobs (3) Chassis schematic diagram on the back Original antenna Original cord still attached Great eye appeal! Dimensions: approximately 13" wide x 8" high x 7.5" deep.Condition: This table radio has not been restored or refinished. We'll leave that to a collector who enjoys restoring old radios. Because of the age and questionable condition of the cord, we decided not to plug it in and cannot say if it is in working order. Based on the schematic and what we can see behind the antenna panel, it appears that all tubes are still in place. T is a crack in the fiber board panel attached to the antenna, but it does not appear this would unduly affect the function of the antenna. T are some minor condition issues on the cabinet that could stand a little TLC to bring it back to its beautiful original finish.
