Stromberg Carlson AP-437 Mono Tube Power Amplifier tested and working. All controls, lamps, indicators, etc. work as designed. With that stated...this unit is about fifty years old. Before any extended use it has to be checked over by a tech qualified in tube technology. After a half century some of the components such as capacitors, tubes, etc. have to be out of their original tolerance. In my brief test the audio quality was clean, and powerful. This unit has it's original Stromberg Carslon branded 6550 power tubes still intact. I removed the cage or cover so you can see exactly what your getting. This is a tricky one, the cage pulls off from the front. As far as cosmetics, extremely nice for it's age. In fact nice for a unit half its age. The small rubber feet are gone from the bottom. There are some small marks and scratches here and there but I can state " unbelievable for it's age." Although this unit is as stated above it is being offered for restoration and is sold "as is." Please have patience. As previously stated, I send out a confirmation email the day your item is shipped. We have no control over FedEx. I promise you, it will get there! All items are cleaned and disinfected on the exterior before photo's are taken and again before shipment unless stated in my auction. You won't receive any dirty, smelly, smoke stained items from this seller. We do not open up working units to inspect or to clean.
