May I confess from the very beginning that I have positively no idea what this piece is and I am expecting ya'll to tell me. It is truly a really cool piece: Oak Box 11 inches by 9 inches by 5 1/2 inches Stromberg Carlson Telephone Mfg. Co. Rochester, N.Y., U.S.A. Made in United States of America Above is on Black and Gold Tag on bottom of box T is a telephone receiver hook on the side (no hand set), black metal A set of 5 switches with a label holder on top and bottom of these switches. T is part of a card labelling 4 on top holder. THIS LABEL SAYS: sort (first) v.m. rev.(second) list(third) Master ???(fourth) then paper is torn off T are 3 connectors under the bottom label holder At top of box is a white lite bulb, a volts D.C.(this is made by Weston Electric Instrument, Newark,N.J.,U.S.A.,Model 301, No. 1330534) On the inside t are lots of parts on the inside of the door and inside the box itself. On the inside of the door: Each silver part has the number 21796 stamped on it. Under the connector screws the label holder has a paper which has the following on two different lines one under the other at bottom: 1st line: Test Cord M.D.F. Sw.BD Line Grnd Test Batt. Ex. Batt.
