Rare Apollo Duplex mid 19th C brass, oil student lamp with acorn shaped reservoir and burner, center rod extends from base and topped with arched floral finial. Adjustable cross arm with detailed flying griffin with burner end coming from his mouth, reservoir is decorated on the side with a raised torch, top has a pineapple finial and bottom finial. Double burner and finial on bottom, four sided curved base with ornate paw feet and top winged decoration, circular ring on top of feet with reticulated floral decoration, 24''H x 14''W x 8''D, very good condition, traces of old gilding. From a South Portland, Maine home.
