Study in Black and White: 5.5" x 5.5" x 2" This pair of dance figures is not only detailed, but describes a frozen moment in time, exploring the relationship and balance of man and woman, support and complement, positive and negative, black and white. The motion and balance in this sculpture are unique. Signed and dated 2000. This sculpture is a unique piece that Milon created in his studio - it is not available through any of his representing galleries. Milon Townsend has been making artwork in glass for over 35 years. Self-taught, he has created a vast body of work, from perfumes and paperweights to fine one-of-a-kind sculptures. His training in classical music was instrumental in his tendency to create objects with form, balance and harmony.
