This is without a doubt one of the finest pieces of Mont Joye that I have ever had the pleasure of listing ... it is a 10 1/2" Pitcher painted in the " beautiful Iris motif " with gold leaves that come up from the base , an Iris in bloom and 2 other Iris' that complete the display. The gilt is in very good to excellent condition with only slight rub marks on the rim... This beauty is stunning and will stand as a "premiere piece" in your own "Fine Glass Collection". If you love and collect French Glass this is one you will not want to pass on...the detail is intricate and the color is outstanding . Please see the addl' pic' of the GOLD RIM ....t is a tiny bubble in the rear of this piece, it is on the inside only AND t is a tiny "rub mark"?? on the gold but all gold/gilt is intact... .these pics' have been blown up so you can see detail... I don't know if t is a scratch or part of the rough texture of the glass, I am not sure which...but you can feel it more then see it, I included a photo so you decide . It is MINIMAL and does not detract at all ... I am sure it was present when produced. I could go on and on...but collectors know what they are looking for. While this piece does not have the MJ sig/logo , I feel it does not need it ...after comparing it to my MJ pieces and several addl' photos... I have no doubt of the maker.
