Stunning Antique 22kt solid gold 9 planet gems, diamond moghul necklace ! With genuine tiled rubies and fine engraving ! As we always promised to bring to you the most exotic, the most unique of all the collectorâe(tm)s pieces, we have this very substantial and stunningly beautiful antique moghul 9 planet gem necklace. This would be the most interesting 9 planet necklace of all the necklaces, you may have seen or come across. Please examine carefully all the pictures of this unique piece. This one has so many interesting aspects about it that we can fill pages writing about it. Making of 9 gem necklaces have had a very interesting history behind them. The 9 planet necklaces were considered as amulets, which brought good luck to the wearer and were supposed to ward off the evil. Good & bad fortune, health & disease, all are supposed to be governed by the 9 planets and wearing such necklaces is considered to do the balancing act by decreasing the effect of the un-favorable planets and augmenting the power of favorable ones. Its a very unique 9 planet necklace which is special in the aspect that it is two-sided, so you can wear it on either side and give an impression of two different necklaces. With each side studded with so many of precious gems and diamonds, that at times, you would feel that one side looks better than the other. In the front it is a beautiful 9 planet/gem necklace and on the other side it has genuine deep blood red lusturous rubies tiled in a beautiful pattern. Notice the intricately carved and engraved collets around the rubies. Around them you can see ruby and emeralds set in the shape of leaves. On the front side it features a red ruby in the center, 10x7mm in size, and is surrounded the 8 planets, represented by the surrounding gems, a rose cut diamonds, yellow sapphire, red coral, blue sapphire, cat's eye, hessonite garnet, green emerald and a mabe pearl. The ruby in the center and the 8 gems around it are separated by an array of genuine green emeralds. All the gems on this side of the pendant weigh about 6 carats and the diamond is about 30 cents in size. The ruby drop weighs about 3 carats and is genuine, with pigeon blood red color. On the other side, the it has intricate workmanship, with genuine AAA quality rubies and emeralds set in gold collets in a beautiful array and design. Such work is rare and hard to find. On one side, you call it a very nice 9 planet necklace and on the other side it is a completely different ruby, emerald pendant. Turquoise stone set on the top of both sides, gives a very nice look to the necklace as well. The lavaliere drops 2-1/4 inches long and 1.4 inches wide. All over in the font and back, the gold surface is intricately carved in fine details, which is a true sign of a rare, extraordinary piece. It is attached to a pearl necklace, which has over all length of 17 inches secured by a solid gold push-in lock. The pearls are about 6.5-7mm in size and weigh 132 carats, all shiny, genuine pearls. This necklace is studded with 144 carats of pearls, rose cut diamonds, emeralds and other precious gems. It was hand-crafted in 22kt solid gold and it weighs 46.3 grams.
