is an outstanding Seychour Caucasian rug which proudly offers by dehati.1. The most common type of Seychour rug is fairly large with a composition consisting of a series of large cross motifs with surrounding system of stylized flowers. These rugs with all over floral compositions are frequently encountered and t is well-known group with western style floral decoration similar to the Karabagh rugs. This ancient center was famous for the largest and most beautiful carpets from northeast of Caucasus Mountain.

This is a typical example of the most famous type of Seychour rugs. The cross motifs and scattered flowers give this piece a very majestic appearance and they have been always popular in the west. T are three complete classical, crossed beams which located at magnificent blue background with not crowded and have splendid color. The very unusual thing about this rug is the design of its border. This wide crab border at white ground is usually appearing at Kazak region, but at this case you could see at Seychour areas.
You could see some similar example at Ian Bennett's Oriental Rugs, Volume 1, Caucasian, and Caucasian rugs by Urlich Schurmann.

The palette is absolutely sensational wit its array of all beautiful and different colors: variety of interesting blue, beautiful red, green at two different shapes, very nice yellow, dark and light natural brown make this outstanding rug so gorgeous and powerful, of course that all colors are natural and vegetal dyes except the some very small orange.

This rug is in very good condition for its age. It has full even pile all over with both ends and selvages are originally intact. T are some small areas which have been received superb quality of restoration which is really hard to see. Brown at some areas is corroded. This lovely and antique rug has a very large size, the size of this village rug is; 11'-6"x6'. The wool of this rug is absolutely soft, shiny and handles of this rug like a dream and the design and colors is impossible to describe.
