Rare Art Deco Noritake 1920's flapper lady hand painted collectible plate with an opalescent luster finish. Made by the Noritake Company, Japan.... and signed with the old Morimura Brothers, N.Y., mark used until 1941. The "tree crest" mark is the crest of the Morimua family. This is a truly an exquisite plate in amazingly perfect condition. It is absolutely stunning! The deco lady has green eyes, blond hair, pink lips, and rosey cheeks. She is wearing a purplish red and green hat with an orange colored flower with leaves. It measures 7-3/8" wide, and the colors are brilliant - orange, yellow, red, green, pink, purple, gold, white, and black... with a beautiful opalescent luster background (see pictures). It is signed "Noritake, Hand Painted, Made in Japan" with the letter "M" in a green wreath on the bottom (see picture). The condition is excellent - no chips, breaks, cracks, or repairs. This fabulous deco lady plate came from an estate in San Francisco, and is vintage. She has a great deco look - very charming and unique. It is truly a quality piece, and would make a wonderful addition to someone's collection. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Paypal, money orders, and checks are acceptable.
