DESCRIPTION
Stunning large Art Nouveau sterling silver bowl/dish decorated in repousse with whiplash lines that radiate from the center and terminate in four blossoms (poppies? irises? possibly lotuses?) surrounded by petals and tendrils in high Art Nouveau style. Simply gorgeous, the pix do not do it justice. Stamped on underside STERLING 1204 and a partial maker's mark that I unfortunately can't make out. In excellent condition, with two shallow dings on the bottom of two of the quadrants that can easily be worked out (see pix). With beautiful, original patina. 105 gr. 7 3/4 x 6 1/8 x 1 1/2 inches high.
