STUNNING-C 1920 ANTIQUE 9CT ROLLED GOLD BANGLE- 30GM-NR This is a truly STUNNING Antique 9ct Rolled Gold bangle.... that is SOLID not hollow.. you will not be disappointed with this beautiful bangle.... It is becoming increasingly harder to find these bangles in this condition and width.. and they really are one of my favourite bangle designs.. they look so sumptous on the wrist.. Any dark colors appearing on the bangle photos are only reflection due to its extreme high shine. HISTORY This is Circa 1920 by design and styling . It is hallmarked ROLLED GOLD and EXCALIBUR MADE IN ENGLAND and is 9 carat rolled gold. It is beautifully carved pattern sparkles under the light and is from a Britsh estate. This quality piece is a solid thick outer layer of 9 carat gold over a thin metal core for strength and rigidity.. Antique rolled gold is considered to be equivalent in quality to todays low karat gold due to the amount of gold externally. It wears just the same.. I have one just the same and havent taken it off for many years and is sparkles the same as it did many years ago. DESCRIPTION & SIZING It is an antique yellow gold color ..that lovely buttery hue.. unlike the brassy gold of today... and has beautiful carved scrolls and foliage around the entire front surface..and the back and interior are plain and smooth. I have one of these, and they are substantial pieces and are fabulous for every day wear as they are solid not hollow...The light reflects off the carvings beautifully..it was so hard to capture but the second picture shows a bit of the sparkle. The push button clasp is an old tongue and groove closure and it closes beautifully with a crisp snap...it also has a gold safety chain for added security. It has no dings or dents due to its solid construction...it is SOLID not hollow... It is just under 1/2" in width..and measures 7' inside and is a gorgeous piece. This would fit a wrist from 5 1/2" - 7" It weighs approx 30 GRAMS which further adds to its appeal. ! These are just STUNNING pieces.. they look glamorous and elegant ..and look as good with jeans or evening wear.. THis is a MUST for the bangle collector who is looking for a nice antique piece to wear everyday ..and this one can sustain some rough treatment..as mine does ! The photos look brassy in color but please check my feedback so that you may feel confident bidding with me , as i receive a lot of comments that the items are much prettier in person. It is so shiny it was so hard to photograph due to the reflections. Please note that while I do try to describe the items to the very best of my ability, all my items are either antique or vintage , so tfore are not brand new.
