Polished and gilded this mirror would be a stunning focal point in any historic home.The eagle and surrounding design is carved of wood, not stucco. It is nice and sturdy. The mirror measure 26" from top to bottom and 18" at it's widest point.Your grandchildren will peer through this mirror as I did as a chid in our historic home. T is a bit of surface material missing as you can see in the photo but that can be filled in when gilded. Try a local high end paint store for the gilding material. Done right this mirror will be spectacular! Check out the magazines with the historic homes,and t will not be one without a mirror like this one. The bowed shaped mirror which is in good shape creates an interesting image. The hanging wire is sturdy enough so you won't have to fiddle with it.
