This is one of 12 FLOW BLUE antique dessert plates that I am listing. The word ADDERLEY is printed on some, others have the printed trademark of the manufacturer. All are impressed with the word "IVORY".They were made by Adderley {& CO.}, Staffordshire Potteries, China and Earthenware, England.{1876-1905} The printed trademark, as identified in "The Encyclopaedia of British Pottery and Porcelian Marks by Godden {page 24} dates the dishes as being manufactured between 1886-1905. The plate measuring 8 and1/2" is absolutely breathtaking--rich flowing shades of blue on an ivory ground, high-lighted with splashes of gold. This pattern is identified as "LILY". Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. T is some crazing on the plate and a few small scratches on its face, which are expected on a plate so old!!! ADDERLEY TRADEMARK is printed on the back of the plate. Please view the pictures.
