This is the wonderful 1989 "The Carousel Elephant" figurine by Lenox Collectibles. He is hand-painted fine bisque porcelain and is decorated with 24 carat gold and mounted on a stained hardwood base. He stands 8" tall by 7" wide. This figurine is a limited production piece from 1989 and has long since been retired. RARE - HE IS MINT IN HIS ORIGINAL BOX WITH COA. Elephants were one of the rarest menagerie animals on American carousels. At that time, most Americans were not familiar with the exotic elephant, tfore, carousel owners tended to not include them. The three carousel manufacturers that did include them were Charles Loof, Charles Dare, and Allan Herschell. PayPal and U.S. shipping only. Insurance mandatory unless stated otherwise.
