This is your change to own an original Louis Comfort Tiffany Glass vase. If you win this auction, you are really winning a piece of history because Louis Comfort Tiffany is one of the greatest glass makers ever. The detail in this piece is absolutely beautiful. The glass is an iridescent green/gold and the swirl pattern is stunning. The swirling design is on all 5 sides. This work measures approximately 3 3/4" high, 6 1/2" across, and the base has a diameter of about 2". This is a tough work of art for me to part with!
This LCT glass was purchased by my father in 1976 from Maclowe Gallery in New York. My father was an art historian and prided himself in collecting works from the greatest artists in the world. He had been searching for a nice example of LCT's work and when he came across this piece he knew this was the one he had to own. My dad passed away earlier this year and as much as I would like to keep this, I have to sell to pay for estate related expenses. Please save me as a favorite seller because I will be auctioning off other amazing items from my dad's collection.
