Stunning Majolica: Blue, Brown and Gold Pitcher/Vase

This absolutely beautiful piece of Majolica is brilliantly glazed with deep blue, almost purple, stylized leaves alternating with rich brown leaves seeming to sprout from the base to the lips of the pitcher, as with a head of romain lettuce, while along the handle large yellow grains of wheat or corn are interwoven in a beautiful pattern, to stunning effect. The pitcher is 3 7/8" in diameter at the base and 9" in height. T is an English registry mark on the base that is a bit worn, but I have been advised that the piece is by T. R. Boote, Burslem, Staffordshire, UK, established in 1842. As the critical quadrant of the registry mark is worn off, I regret that I cannot provide a reliable estimate for dating the manufacture of the piece. However, suffice to say, this is a stunning piece of majolica, in superb condition. The reserve is very low. Winning bidder please add $25 for domestic shipping; $35 for international.
