Murano Mid 1980's Back facing Green and Aventurine Crystal Figure. This stunning bird has the gem stone Aventurine under the clear crystal which gives the illusion of the true texture of a birds feathers and body. The gold is veined and heavier in certain areas and travels down the Bird's tail. Perfect condition, been displayed behind glass and taken very good care of. The bird stands 10 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches across the bottom base. The tail is 6 inches long and the crystal leaves are 2 1/2 inches long. Weighs 2 pounds and 6 ounces. The base is ground hand cut and is 7 inches thick around w the leaves protrude. The wings are the clear crystal with cut in detail of the feathers with the Aventurine deep inside. The beak is solid yellow crystal and the eyes are green. Really a very beautiful and stunning figure. The Bird belonged to a friend who removed the Murano sticker when she bought it in the 1980's.
