A Matched Set Of 4 Vintage Barley Leg & Riser with Beaded and Jacobean trim Accents on the Backs, Dining Chairs from Scotland. The legs and risers are all in good shape and all of these little darling's are quite steady and very tight. They all are very well made, a little heavier than most and in overall better condition than most we see coming over from the UK these days and quite sturdy with each having a stretcher base for added stability. The pretty Barley Twist legs are slightly thicker than most as well as the stretcher base and the back slats in the chairs. They all have some very lovely wood grains showing through-out the chairs with a Lovely Dark Chestnut Oak Patina to them. They have a few dings and a few scratches and the finish that's on them now will last for years to come. These chairs will hold up to daily use for years and years to come. Each of the chairs are 17 7/8" wide at the fronts tapering to 14 3/4" at the backs and are 15" deep at the seats and the seats are 17 1/2" off the floor. Overall they are 39 5/8" tall. The seat coverings which are a leather type material are in fair to good condition. They don't have any rips, holes or tears in the leather. If you don't like the material, they have "pop out seats", which means it would take about 2 yards or less of your favorite fabric, a staple gun and about 2 hours or less to recover them. They still will hold up to daily use for many years to come. What a conversation piece this will make for your den, family room, dining area, breakfast area or Victorian Period Home!!
