Lovely old style bakelite original 300 series telephones were first introduced in 1937 and were the first phones to contain an internal bell. It has braided cord and an alphanumeric chrome dial. Underneath is the original sticker marked 312L FWR/64/3A FDI . It needs converting and is in good condition. An iconic and attractive piece with its classic hard lines and sharp edges. It was based on an earlier Ericsson design and was developed by the British Post Office working with the Ericsson Telephone Company.
