Low grade but acceptable reader or filler copy of Sub-Mariner Comics 12, a tough Timely issue from 1943. Book only grades FR but displays nicely for the grade, featuring an awesome WWII cover by Schomburg, and the book is complete. This is a single-staple book, and the cover and first wrap have become detached from the staple. The second wrap has a hard pull at the staple and is trying to detach but is currently holding, but the pull has left the page off-center and sticking out from remainder of book, leaving folds and small tears along the lower 1/3 and top edge of this page, which you will see sticking out in the scans of the book. The centerfold has similar tears and dings along the right margins for this reason as well. The front cover has nice color and gloss with fairly heavy spine stress and cover creasing, although a lot does not break color. The back cover displays similar wear with a tear at middle staple evident from the detached cover. Perimeter of back cover has numerous small dings, small tears and small creases. The inside pages, with the exception of the flaws noted above, are overall solid and supple, light tan overall and decent art color.
