Marvel Comics SUB-MARINER Prince Namor FULL SIZE STATUE produced in 2006 by Diamond Select. This Marvel Milestones Statue stands 14 inches in height from the bottom of the base to the top of his spear. Namor, the Sub-Mariner made his first appearance in Motion Pictures Funnies Weekly #1 from way back in 1939, and has since become one of the most popular characters in the Marvel Universe, as a member of the Defenders, as well as in his own series. As the first Marvel mutant, Prince Namor commanded all the powers of Atlantis in his battle against the surface dwellers he thought were invading his home. Later offering assistance against the Axis forces of World War II, the Sub-Mariner began to interact with the surface world more often. With his superhuman strength, invunerablilty, and powers of flight, Namor has earned a place in history with the greatest Marvel heroes. This sculpture of Namor the Sub-Mariner is based on the cover of Sub-Mariner #1 from 1967. Sculpted by Gabriel Marquez it comes painted and ready to display. Limited to 2,500 pieces worldwide this one is numbered a low 500/2500 and comes in its original matching numbered box. It has never been handled or displayed and comes to you in perfect condition in its original box. It is a must for your collection.
