Summer sunshine in a delicate cotton lawn floral print for Ann Estelle, Bitty Bethany Kish and similar sized dolls. Square collar and cuffs of cotton voile trimmed with french lace. Lined bodice with short puffy sleeves closes at the back with two snaps. Decorative buttons at back and green silk ribbon at waist. Finished seams and hand sewn hems. (just the outfit described, Bleuette, Ann, Bitty Bethany and the shoes stay in Arizona) Advisory (the fine print): we don't smoke but we heat our workshop with a wood stove. We have two horses and one cat, only the cat is allowed inside. The children have flown, save Ann and I can say with confidence: no peanut butter was used in the creation of this outfit. A note on construction: about a thousand years ago when my grandmother was instructing us in the art of cross stitch she made it quite clear that the reverse side of our work should be as neat as the front. I haven't forgotten her teaching and it's my goal with every project.
