This is an outstanding antique deep frame with the most intricate and detailed carvings or mouldings, of cupids, vines and florals surrounding the reveal. The frame is gesso and gilded. The frame is in excellent antique condition. I do not see any problem with the cupids and only some missing gesso on the frame in the corners. This is a truly unique and outstanding antique item. The frame measures approximately 17 by 23 inches and 3.5 inches deep. The reveal is approximately 6 inches by 9 inches and I think would look beautiful with an old distressed mirror. I bought this frame with a piece of glass covering the whole frame and housing the cupids. It was easy to remove as the top moulding comes off with two screws and the glass then slides into place. I took it off as it was difficult to photograph with glass. I actually think it looks better without the glass and will certainly be easier to post. If you want, you could easily replace the glass. Please be advised, that I only sell antique and vintage items and I expect my buyers to understand the condition of these kind of items. They are not new and in pristine condition. Not every flaw is mentioned, as I believe they just add to the authenticity of the item and when buying antiques that is what you are looking for. Please bid carefully and email all questions, as all sales are FINAL. Postage is FIXED at USD $150 (as I will try and have it professionally boxed). Thanks for looking and if you decide to bid, good luck.
