oil on canvas, signed A. Arnegger lower left. With original label on verso having title and artist`s biography. In a gilt and gesso frame; 27` x 38` (sight), 34` x 36` (w/frame). Alois Arnegger (1879-1963) was born in Vienna, Austria, and studied there at the Imperial Academy under Robert Russ and August Eisenmenger. He is best known for snowscapes from his native land, although he painted Italian coastal landscapes beginning in the 1920s.
