Thanks for visting my auctions. Saved from construction destruction ! Offered this week from the days of the Dinosaurs is this beautiful standing Mortoniceras approx. 9-1/2 inches. about 7-1/2+ pounds sweet fossil Ammonite. ( A true Texas beauty ! ) This guy has great horns and tubicles, just look! Great creamy natural color mix with other tones and colors.! This Ammonite was a tough one to prep. however worked out pretty well. In fact I did get a nice prep. on one side while the opposite side remains un-prepared yet not so bad.. A truly nice rugged example to consider. A mmonite comes from the 100 million year old Duck Creek Fm. of North Texas. Albian Stage, Upper Cretaecous, Tarrant County of Fort Worth Texas which I found with permission. Natural mineralized colors. Nice first lowwwwww bid request . Great show- n- tell at school ! Super display Ammonite. Sealed and prepared with Shellac the old way. The center of this Ammonite( Umbilicus ) seemed to narrow down instead of making a full spiral towards the center. Needs a secure home. Normal 100 million year old chips , dings and scars. I hope my first bid request is fair Yup ! Lot cheaper to send than a 50 lb. example I assure you. Please let this Ammonite be a new addition to your collection for years to come. Normal scars and dings from a hundred million years of aging. Cheers! Last photo is of me back from hunting.
