SUPER ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 14K GOLD ENAMELED BRACELET Presented is a wonderful quality Victorian 14K gold bracelet. The bracelet is composed of recessed oblong panels decorated with a design of scrolls. In every other panel the scrolling design is filled with black enamel in the recessed areas. This makes a very attractive design as the higher areas still have the yellow gold visible. This piece is American and was undoubtedly made between the 1840s through the 1870s. The bracelet is marked 14K on the clasp. This hallmark was obviously added many years after the bracelet was made. Originally this piece was never hallmarked, as would have been common in the United States during mid-1800s. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14K gold. The condition is excellent. The clasp snaps shut very tightly, and t is a safety chain for additional security. The enameling is in fantastic shape with only a few tiny losses that are truly inconsequential. Our photographs, which are obviously greatly magnified, certainly make any tiny imperfections seem large. In reality, when held in one's hand, no damage is visible. T are no cracks, no splits, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The bracelet is 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The weight is 16.5 grams.
