Rare 1969 Tudor Electric Football NFL-AFL Super Bowl III Game, Jets vs. Colts: This auction is for the stunning, historical and exceptionally rare Tudor NFL electric football Super Bowl III featuring the upstart New York Jets of the AFL vs. the powerhouse Baltimore Colts of the NFL. Played on Jan. 12, 1969, Super Bowl III was the third of the AFL-NFL Championship Games, but the first game to actually be called the Super Bowl. Take a look at this board -- the Lombardi Trophy in the middle of the field, the AFL in one endzone with the league's logo and the NFL in the other endzone with its logo. Incredible. The scoreboard, fully outfitted with dials and Jets and Colts team names also features the two leagues' logos, as does the cover of the instruction book, which features the color inset pages of teams and Tudor electric football game models that we all studied and thoroughly memorized. This game's model number is 630-633. It was the first of the Tudor NFL Super Bowl games (the only one with both "AFL" and "NFL" and the Lombardi Trophy on the field) and was originally sold only through Sears (see pic of actual post mark and the cost to ship at that time was an amazing $1.05!) All of the original black-shoe players are complete, with only 2 injured players see pics of arm injuries. Two white plastic quarterbacks/kickers are also included, read more
