1-1/2 lbs. Unknown Blindingly Fluorescent Solid Brilliant Yellow Mineral Fluorescent and PhosphorescentFranklin-Sterling Hill, Sussex Co., NJI do not think this is willemite or esperite, but whatever this mineral is, it is spectacular. It is nearly solid brilliance. The darker side has a very thin skin of non-fluorescence.The specimen is whitish in natural light, and the non-fluorescent areas are a shiny copper-pinkish/light grayish. I have no idea what these minerals are.Weight: 1 lb. 8 oz.Triangle/pie shape.Approx. 5" X 5" X 5" X 1"PLEASE NOTE:1 - My father was the Franklin-Sterling Hill NJ fluorescent mineral collector. I inherited this collection in 1999. I am not an expert on these rocks, although I am learning a lot from the collectors. I will try to answer your questions, but you probably know more than I do already.2 - There are many appropriate fluorescent lights available online and on eBay, and many of them are better than the light I have.I used the camera on my Apple iPod and my father's old 1998 Mineralite to take all my photos. I have included a photo of the short-wave (SW) UV light that I used to take these photos. These minerals do not fluoresce with the same intensity (if at all) under a common fluorescent "black light" used for posters.Combined Shipping: Larger specimens can be combined for shipping in a USPS Flat read more
