Stunning old 1930 Chiltern teddy bear. Measuring 25" to the tip of his ears. Filled with wood wool and kapok. The most amazing mohair and in such good condition.No patches of wear or thinning any where. He had been stored in an attic for most of his long life and the mice had eaten away his snout so this area has been restored very well and a new nose and mouth restitched. His large feet are card lined and he retains original velveteen pads which are worn. The right pad is ripped,exposing the card but not leaking stuffing.His hand pads again original velveteen which is worn and the tiniest tear to the tip of his pad. Under his very thick glossy mohair he retains his original stitched clawing,four to feet and three to the hands pads.His coat is so dense it is hard to see them but they are all there! He has clear glass eyes with painted backs. All joints turn well and his head is slumpy.Apart from his restoration to his snout he has no other repairs or damage not mentioned. He really is a smasher. Any questions please ask...
