This is a super find for the Medical Collector! This is a kit issued in 1948 ( as indicatedon the original Certificate of Inspection from Bausch and Lomb Co. of Rochester, N.Y.). This has all the original information for the buyer. Inspected by, Catalog # Serial # ( BD5575) Order # . T is also the Caution from the company label of how to replace the microscope into the kit after using! . The microscope itself is approx. 121/2 inches tall. The box/kit is 13x71/2. The Binocular microscope has on it Pat. Jan.5th 1915. I am not a medical collector or know too much about this, it does have 3 adjustable rotating viewers. It is great condition considering age! All parts are working great . T are many lens in the kit 43x,8x,10x,125x,90x and more, some say Achromat on the case they are in. The case has a holding box for slides made of the same wood as inside, guessing mahogany?? The box had in it a small bottle of Shillaber's immersion oil as listed on label. I have with this a Burton Light as it was purchased at the same sale and seems to project with a 250 volt and listed as Und.Lab.Isp. Made in U.S.A. ??? Not sure of its use??T were some boxes of Bili-Labstix and N-Multistix also in kit .The original plastic cover comes with it also, but is quite dark due to heat, but it is not torn or cracked.
