SUPER GLOSSY ATOMIC AGE 1949 RCA 8-X-541 BAKELITE BLAST FROM THE PAST! Sporting a striking new two-tone paint scheme, this five tube radio comes to you from the era of big cars with heavy chrome and wide white-wall tires, Harry Truman, and Ike, and the birth of "Happy Days." The sleek trapezoidal design is a minimalist gem, with the speaker grille repeating the cabinet shape, but with somewhat sharper angles. T is no ornamentation other than the gleaming brass rib dividing the cabinet top and serving as the station index, and the metal foil-backed and lighted dial, which provides a splash of color against the black/cream cabinet. This color combination was selected to complement the angular design and reflect the style of the era. The cabinet has NO cracks, chips, or flaws of any sort. It has been painted with quality Du Pont automotive enamels providing a durable, zero-maintenance high-gloss finish. NO polishes, waxes, oils, or glazes have been applied. The mirror-like finish results in some glare spots and reflections in the photos, but t are no blemishes or imperfections in the paint.
