is a very nicely and completely restored mantle or shelf clock made by the WILLIAM L. GILBERT Clock Co, of Winsted, CT, USA, ca. 1910-15. The case is finished in a black varnish, and has been highly polished just like when it left the factory nearly 90 years ago. It is NOT repainted. Verde Green columns repainted to match the original colors. Brass bases and caps are polished and lacquered. The case has no dents or scratches, and shows very nicely, like it has had very careful care in its lifetime. Original brass bezel and convex glass cover the original cream colored celluloid dial, which is in very good condition. 8 day spring wound pendulum movement strikes every half hour on a deep cathedral gong. The movement has undergone a complete cleaning, rebushing, oiling, timing, and testing. Double end key with clock. Case measures 18" wide at the feet by 10 1/2" high. Case feet have been gilt painted to resemble the original color. This will make a very attractive addition to any room in your home or office. Please ask any questions prior to purchase. Some adjustment may be necessary after receipt, tfore, clock is sold "as-is". Clock will be carefully packed and shipped via UPS. Insurance is included in this clock for $100.00. $6.00 packing fee.
