WOW# Just finished in our workshop this week.A stunning vintage french two piece dresser,sideboard,cabinet,bookcase or armoire. All original,solid heavey well made quality piece which has come over from france recently.Not antique more es in two pieces.Made from oak we think? has been renovated by us,painted in a french grey,distressed and waxed finished. Consisting of; A top section,with two cabinets,3 internal shelfs per cabinet,working locks and one key(fits both locks),original brass grills(would have had fabric behind originally) on the doors,ornate solid brass key plates.Three Centre shelf section with ornate carved aprons.Topped off with a arched pelmet stepped up in the middle. Base section has two cupboards,with internal shelf,ornate panels,solid ornate brass handles,these doors are on ball catches.Centre drawer section,serpentine fronted three drawers,dovetailed jointed,top drawer has cutlery sections inside.All run very smoothly,no sticking.Solid ornate brass handles and dummy ornate solid brass key plates(no locks on drawers,this was a common thing on continental furniture,and just for decorative purposes).Shaped side panels.All sitting on ornate turned cabriole feet with a curved shaped plinth. Sizes; top section; 62" inches wide,15" inches deep,50" inches high. Base section; 62" inches wide,18.5" inches deep,32.25" inches high. Please study the pics for more detail on this great item of furniture.Viewing is welcome. This is one of the best pieces we have listed on ebay recently and after much time and effort we think a super stunning piece fit for any home be period or modern,it will certainly be the talking point for some time.There are no brush marks on our painted pieces.And also no unsightly watermarks or repairs needed,just place in the home and admire.
