KNSMOKEY'S JARS SUPER SCARCE TO FIND EXTREMELY NEAR MINT QUART SIZED * * KNOX * * (IN A CIRCLE) * GENUINE * * MASON * FRUIT JAR Hello Everyone! You are looking at a VERY SCARCE TO FIND - soft square shaped, quart sized fruit jar with a beaded neck seal and a PERFECT thick smooth lip (with just a TEENY TINY nick on the inside lip edge)... that is crystal clear in color :-)! It is the jar on the right in the comparison picture, next to a SCA colored Premium jar that is for sale in another auction. It is jar #1434 in the Red Book #10 , circa 1950's and made by the Knox Glass Bottle Company of Knox, Pennsylvania - and although it is a relatively newer jar... it is a jar that IS SCARCELY EVER FOUND FOR SALE *PERIOD* (as indicated by its $30.00+ book value)! The jar is STRONGLY embossed with, "KNOX" (which is inside of a quarter sized circle) over "Genuine" (in slightly textured letters) over "MASON"... please see the pictures! Now you will find hundreds of Genuine Mason jars with *SAMCO* (stamped in the circle)... BUT YOU WILL FIND VERY FEW WITH *** KNOX *** STAMPED IN IT! The base of the jar shows little in signs of wear to it - is kind of orange peel textured & and embossed with a small underlined number "3"... again please see the pictures. This VERY SCARCE jar looks SUPER in a display - and would make a TERIFFIC addition to anyones read more
